Yummy Food Did you ever try some manufactured food product, loved it, and then one day the company just stopped producing it, and you were never able to find a substitute? This is what happened to my favourite Planters Cheez Balls!
Been looking and searching for this specific cheese balls for years and couldn’t find them anywhere. The last time i ate it was about 4 years ago when a friend bought it from Brunei. So, I google up and found out that the product has been discontinued. NOOooo… I am three years late….Some of the ‘balls’ lovers had called the Planters call center to buy the product directly from them but to no avail.

Guess what? I saw the Planters Cheez Balls when I went to Manila last May-June and I was so happy. Can you believe that? Of all places, Robinson’s Tagaytay!!! Oh my! Anyway, we (my sis and I) bought two cans of the balls. Sis, who could barely wait to try them, busted it open (of coz after paying themlah) and… Dang! These are NOT the ones you remember, NOT the same orange cheese we’ve grown to love. These are entirely different. The taste are a bit lighter and not as cheesy flavored as the traditional ones. The magic is gone… 
We ended up eating only quarter of it and gave the rest to our friends. You might wonder what happened to the other can right? he he he… Mana sudah tu sis? Sa pun nda ingat sudah… lol

HELP!!! I’m in need of appetite suppressant to control my appetite. OH NO, with Christmas is just around the corner, I’m sure it’s hard to find something nice to wear with my new weight *arghhhhh*… tulah, makan ja! Cannot blame me for being a good cook (minta puji)… lol! Oh, I blame it on the good delicious food that you can find here everywhere in Sandakan.
I’m sure I will miss (back to KK for good) all the food that you can easily get here and my favourite places to eat are Jambatan 8 Sim Sim (seafood especially the Pei Dan Gau), Tung Ma Restaurant (mmg sedap), Novelty (susah mo pilih sbb semua pun sedap), 7 Heaven Dessert Parlour (love the Chicken with Mushroom sauce burger), Pasar Sim Sim (famous for their ikan bakar… FRESH punya), Dolphin Ice Cream (love the homemade ice cream… yummy), kuey teow soup and lots more. I guess Sandakan people are very picky with their food - at least most of them and that’s why it’s hard to get not-so-good food here

BTW, do you know that the Sabah Tourism Awards 2009 for the cleanest town for the City Hall and municipal councils category was won by Sandakan Municipal Council? yeahhh… hmmmm… yaiii!

Yummy Food Wow, it has been a great whole week for me, stuffing myself with lotsa FOOD. I simply ate too much of BAD food. Aiyayayayaiii! Let’s see, from cheesecake, chicken wings, pizza, sushi (blame it on the RM2 promotion… hukhukhuk), black pepper lamb, double mushroom burger (BK), Tuaran mee, homemade Nasi Ayam (cooked by Lyn), Big Apple donuts, pork~char siew, pork chop, babi kicap… you name it!

I can feel that I’m gaining more than 2kgs now and with that, starting from November, I’ll stop eating red meat (esp babi… he he he) for a while. Why November and not now, you may ask me? He He He… it is simply bcoz I’m going to KL this 28th and will only be back to Sandakan on Nov 1st. Namau rugi mah p KL tp nda dapat makan yg sedap2… lol. For now, I will take oxypowder coz it helps to gently cleanse and detoxify my colon to get me back on track to a healthier lifestyle.
Once I’m back in Sandakan, I will give myself a detoxification program a trial. Any suggestion on which detox program work best? I just can’t wait to cleanse my body of radiation, heavy metals and toxic food chemicals. One of my friend told me that her back ache went away after she give the detox program a try. Hmmm, sounds good tor me. My back ache just won’t go away!
It is time to do some DETOX people!

As promised, here are the pictures of the Ceesecake that I had made. I just can’t say NO to my first (terus tiga ar) official order eventhough I know that I’m just a self thaught novice. Everything is possible when you believe in yourself right? What can I say, this is the first time I actually getting paid for doing what I love… yeahhh!
For those of you who love cheesecake, I’m sure you are going to need a weight loss supplements to shed the extra kgs from eating too much of this… ha ha ha… kidding!
Well, I’m just glad that the birthday girl loved every bit of the cake (see pic no.2). The flavour, the look, everything. It’s a job well done! The feedback from everyone has been fantastic especially for the 2nd and 3rd cake.

Yummy Food Goshhh, I gain 2kgs in just a week… hukhukhuk… been eating a lot of yummy food since Friday. It is simply irresistible! From Upper Star to Sushi King, Tambayan (100% Filipino Food), Starbucks, Big Apple Donut, Pizza Hut and a buffet dinner at Circle Restaurant (Le Meridien) last nite… whoaaa! And that’s when diet pills may come in handy! Need to shed some pounds/kgs before Valentine (ok, as if I’ll celebrate it this year … hukhukhuk)!
Talking about dinner last nite, all I can say is the food was good but nothing special (except for the yee sang). Although the menu was made up of food from a diverse range of cuisines, the number of choices was disappointingly small! There is not much to choose from especially the desserts. I hope it is not because of the CNY. Furthermore, it is quiet pricy compared to Five Sails (The Magellan Sutera) and Cafe Promenade (Promenade). Luckily I don’t have to pay for the food… hehehe… To ‘u-know-who-u-r’, thanks for the treat ya ;P mmuahhh…
- Yee Sang is a salad served during the Chinese New Year and raw fish is sliced very thinly and lime/lemon juice is added to the fish before serving -
- We had white and red wine and mine was Malbec Red Wine -
