Goldilocks, Mall Of Asia

I had the opportunity to visit the largest shopping mall in the Philippines (the 3rd largest shopping mall in the world), The ‘SM Mall of Asia’ during my visit to Manila last May. I must say that it is huge. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to explore the whole building…*sigh*… (Note : Going to Manila again next year….yehhaaaa!!!)

While we were at MOA (Mall of Asia), me and my devilish twin sister Linda managed to get ourselves to try the Goldilocks Butter Slice (recommended by Ichu). The taste was nice at the first bite but after a while, you will feel that the sweetness is too much to handle Nevertheless, we bought some of the polvoron (shortbread) to be brought back to KK. Guess what?  M colleagues love it very much!!! Now I know what to buy for them the next time I will be in Manila.

It has crossed our minds to open a small business franchise of Goldilocks bakeshop here in KK. The investement cost is estimated at 6-8 millions (Pesos), around RM400,000 - RM600,000. Furthermore, the Franchise fee for the Bakeshop is 800,000 Pesos (RM600,000) and for the Full Store 1.2 Million Pesos (RM 900,000). Anyone interested in a joint venture? Please let me know

Does GOD exists?

This is one of the best explanations of why God allows pain and suffering that I have seen. It’s an explanation other people will understand.

A lady went to a beautyshop to have her hair cut and her nails painted and trimmed. As the lady began to work, they began to have a good conversation.. They talked about so many things and various subjects.

When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the beautician said : “I don’t believe that God exists.”

“Why do you say that?” asked Sheryl, who has MS.

“Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn’t exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can’t imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things.”

Then Sheryl thought for a moment, but didn’t respond because she didn’t want to start an argument. The beautician just finished her job and the customer left the shop. Just after she left the beauty shop, she saw a woman in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and not groomed at all. She looked dirty and unkempt.

Sheryl turned back and entered the beauty shop again and she said to the beautician: “You know what?  Beauticians do not exist.”

“How can you say that?” asked the surprised beautician.  “I am here, and I am a beautician. And I just worked on you!“

“No!” Sheryl exclaimed. “Beauticians don’t exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and be very unkempt, like that woman outside.”

“Ah, but beauticians DO exist! What happens is, people do not come to me.”

“Exactly“, affirmed Sheryl. “That ’s the point! God, too, DOES exist! What happens, is, people don’t go to Him and do not look for Him. That’s why there’ s so much pain and suffering in the world.”

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!

In conjunction with celebrating Merdeka (National Day) this 31st August, our company is giving away a free mug with any purchase above RM30 or RM50 (if I’m not mistaken…lol). I think that this is a good way to show the customers that they are valued. This might help to increase their loyalty towards the company.

Some company may opt to give away free promotional pens, bags, clocks, notepads and other items to reward their customers. I have so much of free items in my collection now and most of the free items are pens! How about a free flag then since we are in a Merdeka month now?

Anyway, rather than waiting for the free flag, I got myself (mum bought it actually) a small ‘Jalur Gemilang’ flag where I can put it inside my car like this :

P/S Before I forget, Happy 51st Merdeka, MALAYSIA! I Will go to Sandakan this coming MERDEKA holidays….yeahhh!

My SATurday 16.08.08

Woke up as early as 4a.m (the tittle of Gwen’s song eh…) to get ready for the pre wedding photoshoot of Erin & Leon. When Benny  told me that he will be having his first outdoor/pre wedding photoshoot, I was so excited. The view of the greenish paddy field immediately caught my attention, see here. From the moment I set my eyes on the view, I know that I must go to this place and so I ask Benny whether I can join him during the photo session and he immediately say YES! Tanx again Benny for the opportunity given! Love U for that Err, can I join the next photo shoot too? lol…

The photography session took place at 4 different places.  Erin & Leon, you guys are lucky (esp during the sunset photo session) to have taken the chance to be photographed. Yeahhh, the sunset was amazing. I don’t think I have ever seen that kind of sun’s rays before.
