Today’s Activities01.10.08

Woke up around 6.30 am this morning to get ready for the group photo shoot! But it’s worth it and I’m glad we had the photo shoot before Luke & Elaine go abroad to further study to Australia and Switzerland respectively. Well, I’m sure all of us the limadanglians will miss them so much. That’s why we keep seeing each other as much as we could since the first time I met them at Sandra’s Bachelorette Party at Cempaka. Should thanks the KIK’s Reunion which has brought us together and even closer now!

We supposed to meet at Taman Selera (Beach 2) at 9.30am and all of us arrived there around 10am (practising MRT according to Mel…hehehe) . Among those attended for the photo shoot are Benny the photographer, Mark (all the way from Keningau), Cai, Memeng, Azie, Luke, Elaine, Mae, Felix, Ruth, Redge, Melle and myself and that makes 13 of us without Cindy & Afad…hukhukhuk…I can say that all of us had so much fun today posing in front of the camera plus the silly act we did. Can’t wait for the photos to be posted in Benny’s blog.

After we had our lunch at Taman Selera, we went off to Cathay Cineplexes to watch the 1.30pm movie (The Game Plan).  I’m a big fan of The Rock, not just as an action star but as a comedic actor as well. This movie does makes someone shed ‘his’ tears…hehehe…a sentimental person as what Cai’s described it (it’s not Cai who is crying, it’s somebody else but Cai nearly did…oppss!!!)  There are some parts of the movie that makes you laugh your lungs out and yet there are also parts that touches your heart and makes you wanna cry…hukhukhuk…

All in all, it was a great holiday and worth my time especially spending times with my friends rather than me sleeping the whole day! ;)

Note : MRT stands for Malaysian Rubber Time… Elastic - Stretchable ….

Office Christmas Party01.08.08

I know it’s kind of late to post it here since we are in the month of January now. Who bothers anyway? As the saying goes, ‘Better late than never’ right?

The Christmas Party was held at our conference room on 19th December during lunch hour (1-2pm). Well, it was not a free party though as we had to pay for it after we agreed on the RM18 menu. I was quite disappointed that some of the staff opted not to join in with the celebration (come on lah, where is your Christmas spirit?). Luckily, everyone participated in the Chirstmas gift exchange ;)

Christmas Gift Exchange Game-How do we play it?

Names were written on a peace of paper individually and placed inside a box. Then everyone took turn withdrawing a name from the box. Each person must then buy a gift for the name they got. The price of the gift must be above RM10 and food as a gift was not allowed.

I received a nice gift from Srie (the one who got my name). It’s a drinking glass with a beautiful wording on it ~ A raindrop may look too small, but somewhere, a thirsty flower await its fall ~ Thanks so much, I love it ;)

OK, here come the pics I took on that day!!!

Decoration done by the Recreation Club

This the glass that I got!

P/S : I just think giving should involve a little more of the heart and not about the gifts itself…

Sunday Life12.03.07

Sacrificing my rest day and long sleep on Sunday just to join my colleagues to go for a fishing trip near Sapi Island. Well, I’m glad I did, despite having to pay for it later by getting sunburnt….arghhh…but the satisfaction from fishing made me forget about it…for a while ;)  It has been quite some time (coming to 3 years I guess) since my last fishing outing but I’ve never been to open sea fishing before. So, I definitely say yes when they invited me to join them…without any hesitation ;)

As I mentioned earlier, this is my first experience in open sea fishing and I admit that I did get seasick and vomitted twice…yeahhh…what an experience!!!! Even after all that, it won’t stop me from going for the next trip…that’s the spirit!!!

The best part is when we managed to catch a lot of fishes, took some photos and bragged about it in the office :)

The land view from the sea…it’s a windy HOT day….

Nick, looks like you got a BIG fish there… or sangkut di batu? lols….

Surin with his BIG catch…

The winner of the day, DD with his catch….it’s worth it huh?

Nick and his catch and Beth (his fiancee) looking at it with admiration..lols…

OK I know, it’s small but at least I catched a few fish (Kerisi)

Yeahhh, feeling happy with the trip and the catch…when is the next trip?

Nick arranging the fishes we caught for the sake of photo taking session…alalalala…

Nick & DD showing off with the fish they caught…

Tadaaa…here are the the fishes we managed to catch on that day!!!

KIK Reunion and Outing11.05.07

OK, I know…I know…I haven’t make any post since the Halloween post. Well, I’ve been pretty busy enjoying my time with my friends and I can say that they are really great people. Love U guys

The reunion dinner was held at Beijing Open Air Buffet BBQ Steamboat on Friday nite (02/11). By the time I arrived there, it started to rain like cats and dogs. To make things worse, the parking place was full….arghhh…Without having any choices, I then park my car somewhere else which is very far from the place *sigh*. Eventhough it rains, that doesn’t stop us from coming to the reunion especially with the attendance of Luke (the Chairman) and Ben (the Photographer) which at the first place saying that they are unable to come…

After dinner, we then proceed to Shenanigan’s (I didn’t take any photo though) where we had so much fun dancing…yeahhh…the band is great especially the guitarist (bass)…he is so cute when he smiles (he looks cool without his smile though)…phewitttttt!!!

We went to Kundasang on Saturday and stay one night there. The place is awesome! But the best part is, when all of us can get together and spent the quality time among ourselves.

Enjoy the pic taken, not much though since we have our own photographer, so all the great pic of us  is with him…you can check the pic on his website at www.limadang.com after he posted it K…

Us (minus the aunty beside Melle)…enjoying the dinner and photo taking session…

Finally, we managed to visit the Doulos on Tuesday evening after work. The weather was partly cloudy with some rain around especially in KK area but by the time we reached there, the rain has stopped (lucky us)…Well, I have not much to say as I think most of you already know what MV Doulos (floating bookshop) is all about..so, let’s look at the pic I took during our visit to the Doulos.

That’s Doulos (you can see that there is not many people around at that time)

‘Sex Without Love Is Just Exercise‘…cool shirt…wahahaha, it’s not easy to get this shot!

Wow! A lot of visitors during the time we want to go back…luckily we were there early…

People waiting for their turn to go inside Doulos!

The MV Doulos painting….very nice….

FYI, this is my 3rd visits to Doulos. Second visits is with some of my friends on 18th Oct (Thursday) and my first visit to this ship is back when I was still a little kid…yeahhh! Anyway, I’m glad I came back to visit this ship as I heard it is Doulos’s last visit to KK as this 93 years old ship would be put out of commissioned within 3 years time.

I went to the Tip of Borneo (or Simpang Mengayau as the locals call it)recently! It is one of the main attraction in Kudat where you can see the stunning view of the South China Sea. It's awesome...The above picture was taken using a Canon DSLR Rebel XT/350D with Tamron Zoom Telephoto AF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 lens... ^_^
